After the classroom portion of the class will be going to a local indoor range to work on your shooting fundamentals and shoot a qual. Please bring $27 for your range fee and at least (50) rounds of target/practice ammo for your gun. f you already have a handgun bring it with you - if you do not yet have one that's OK too. We actually recommend NOT buying one until you attend this class in order to have a better understanding of what is the BEST carry gun for you. If you have a holster bring that along too - we will be discussing holsters in detail.

Short Description for Basic Handgun: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.


More Details: This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.


Short Description for Basic Rifle: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.

Short Description for Basic Shotgun: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.


More Details: This course is at least ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. MOD-2 Applied Defensive Tactical Handgun CourseThe course fee is $75 plus a range fee of $25 per person. 


The ability to draw a handgun from full concealment, manipulate potential malfunctions and fire accurately in a "life-threatening-encounter" is not something you are born with. It requires trained muscle memory, reflexive handgun skills and a broad understanding of defensive handgun tactics. These are only mastered through practice and realistic drills. There is a huge deference between standing at the gun range shooting holes in paper and training to defend your life or the lives of others with a concealed handgun from a life-threatening attacker. This series is taught from a defensive tactical perspective and designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and mindset that are essential for avoiding life-threatening encounters and if necessary to safely, effectively, and responsibly use a concealed handgun to defend your life.


This series will also prepare you for the physiological and psychological changes that happen to you in a life-threatening encounter.


The 2nd installment of our tactical defensive handgun series. You will be applying everything from Mod 1 and learning the dynamics of drawing and firing from a holster, applying the applications of “Gross Motor Skills” and “Threat Assessment".


This (7) hour course covers of the following topics:

NRA Home Firearms Safety CourseThe course fee is $70 per person.

Short Description : Non-shooting course and teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.


More Details: This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.

MOD-4 Intro to Rifle-Pistol Transition CourseThe course fee is $100 plus a range fee of $25 per person.


This is part 2 of the AR-15 rifle management course. You will learn how to shoot more complex drills including how to transition between your rifle and handgun. You will be trained by one of the best (and most experienced) trainers out there. Learn to handle your rifle like a pro and with confidence!


This class is (7) hours long - 9a-5p and is limited to only (20) Shooters so sign up fast!!

Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for developing a strategy for ones personal safety.


More Details: This (4) hour seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime. Seminars can vary in length, and may be modified to suit the needs of a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow. Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use of personal safety devices.


Students will receive the Refuse To Be A Victim student handbook, NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement, and a course completion certificate.

*NRA Personal Protection In the HomeThe course fee is $135 plus a range fee of $25 per person.

Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.


More Details: This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.


NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.

*NRA Personal Protection Out of the HomeThe course fee is $230 plus a range fee of $25 per person.

Short Description : Comprehensive and intensive in its approach to equip the defensive shooting candidate with the skills needed to survive serious adversity.


More Details: The course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Students have the opportunity to attend this course using a quality strong side hip holster that covers the trigger, or a holster purse. From a review of safe firearms handling and proper mindset to presentation from concealment and multiple shooting positions, this course contains the essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation.


The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home is divided into two levels (basic and advanced). Level one is a nine-hour course and offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Upon completion of level one, students may choose to attend level two, which is an additional five hours of range training and teaches advanced shooting skills. After the classroom portion, students should expect to spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during level one. Level two involves five additional hours on the range and approximately 115 rounds of ammunition. The ammunition requirements are minimum and may be exceeded. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and the appropriate course completion certificates(s), NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home (identifies strong-side hip holster or purse use) certificate, and NRA Advanced Personal Protection Outside The Home certificate.


The NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home is for adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law and are of good repute and possess defensive pistol skills presented in the NRA Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Course. Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense, and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules, but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations. Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course Certificate, or by passing the pre-course evaluation.


Note: The Lesson III of the Personal Protection In and Outside The Home courses Firearms and the Law, and Legal Aspects of Self-Defense is conducted by an attorney licensed to practice law within the state in which this course is given and who is familiar with this area of the law, a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) who possesses an intermediate or higher Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certificate granted within the state, or an individual currently certified to instruct in this area of the law by the state in which this course is presented.

NRA Range Safety OfficerThe course fee is $175 per person.

Short Description : Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.


More Details: This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.

Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, an Instructor Application/Course Evaluation form.

MOD-1 Basic Defensive Handgun Skills Builder CourseThe course fee is $75 plus a range fee of $25 per person. 


If you have, or are planning on getting, your Concealed Carry Permit then you NEED to take this class. Carrying a handgun is a HUGE responsibility. Most people don't truly understand that! This class will teach you the correct way to not only carry correctly but also how to come out of your holster and get off the first shots accurately before the bad guy does. You also will learn to shoot at multiple targets while moving. This training should be mandatory for anyone that carries a gun. When you finish this class you WILL have a lot more confidence with your handgun handling. Class is limited to only (20) Shooters!!

    * Long pants and tight neck shirt - hot brass does not feel good going down your shirt!!

    * Extra clothes for the ever changing weather here in Colorado - WE WILL NOT STOP SHOOTING UNLESS WE SEE OR HEAR LIGHTNING!

The purpose of this class is to get you extremely comfortable with your gun.

We will be working on the basic shooting fundamentals. When you leave this class you should be able to draw your handgun, from your holster, and fire an accurate shot on target in less than 1.5 seconds!!

MOD-3 AR-15 Rifle Carbine Operations Intro CourseThe course fee is $100 plus a range fee of $25 per person.


If you own, or are planning to own, an AR-15 rifle then this is the class you want to take. You will be trained by one of the best (and most experienced) trainers out there. Learn to handle your rifle like a pro and with confidence!

The final part of the AR-15 rifle management course. At this point in the tactical series you are advanced enough to safely and accurately use your handgun and carbine rifle. With the preceding (4) modules completed you will be invited to participate in this last class. Due to the intensity and complexity of this module we only pick the best of the students from our previous classes.
